Project Based Learning- This strategy works well in science classrooms because it allows students to collaborate and gain deeper understandings of the content being taught. This strategy also makes the material seem more appealing to the students and will lessen the chances of the students easily getting bored in the lesson.

Graphic Organizers/Concept Maps- Supplying students with graphic organizers or concept maps allows them a fast and easy way to organize their thoughts and the material. This is an easy strategy to implement into your lesson, and it is also beneficial to the students who have trouble taking notes. It makes studying easier for the students also.

Modeling- With labs especially, modeling the concept for your students can be a big help in your classroom. Not only does it decrease the amount of unnecessary questions, but it will show your students what the end product should be and what they need to work toward their end product resembling.

Notebooks/Journals- Making students document things in a notebook or journal is a great way to teach them how to organize their own materials. Also, if you require students to leave these notebooks and journals inside your classroom, you decrease the "I left my notebook at home" excuse in class. It is a quick and easy way to check your students' progress throughout the semester or year.
