A physical resource that may prove helpful in a science classroom would be the use of multiple field journals. These journals can be found at the majority of local libraries and chances are, there are at least excerpts of these field journals in many school libraries. Field Research Journals can also be found for each and every science course offered. Showing students a resource written from the first person point of view comes in handy when you cannot perform a certain lab or experiment with your class. In this case, an account from someone who was able to complete the experiment can be helpful.
An interactive website, PhET is an excellent way to show students demonstrations of certain principles in physics, chemistry, or biology. Teachers can show the entire class these demonstrations by displaying the website on the projector, or students can visit this site themselves and explore different concepts. The following link will show one of the numerous demonstrations that this website supplies. The link for the homepage will be provided at the bottom of this page.
